RIBA – ’40 Buildings 40 Years’

The brief was to produce a design for the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) East Midlands event: ‘40 buildings 40 years’. The design would have to work on a banner, a programme and a presentation to be displayed at the event. It would also have to compatible with the strict brand guidelines of the RIBA.

The design was based on graphics from the 60’s, the decade when the RIBA East Midlands was founded. The type used on the design (Helvetica) was released in 1957, but became popular by the 60’s and has remained iconic to date. The interwoven bands on the side of the design were inspired by interior design of the time.
